BL Factory Replica Rolex Daytona 116520LV – Green Lizard in the Rain Forest
The 116520LV is a Daytona model that Rolex has never officially released; all search results on Google suggest that it only exists as a replica. This leads me to believe that Rolex did not produce this watch, similar to the Daytona II and Sea-Dweller D-Green, which also lack genuine counterparts. It’s interesting to note that the watch factories create these fake wacthes, showcasing their rich imagination. Referring to this Daytona replica, we call it the “green lizard” due to its green ceramic bezel and green subdials on a white dial. The replica Rolex Daytona is produced by BL, a small factory in our market, and they have introduced this Daytona model that is not recognized in the genuine watch realm, demonstrating some creativity. Perhaps they will surprise us with more unique designs in the future.
The name “116520LV” likely draws inspiration from another Rolex model, the Submariner 116610LV, which features a green ceramic bezel as well. This green Daytona has a 40mm case and a thickness of 15mm, made from 316L stainless steel rather than the 904L stainless steel used in genuine Rolex watches. I recently posted a review of this watch on my blog, but I have not sold any yet; if it gains a positive response in the market, BL may consider upgrading the material to 904L. The case showcases a brushed finish, alternating with polished sections. The chronograph buttons must be unscrewed to operate, and unfortunately, the backs of the lugs lack engravings, unlike genuine Rolex models. However, this feature is now visible on the latest Daytona replicas from the Noob factory.
The watch features a white dial with three white subdials highlighted by green circles and silver-white markers. The small dials function accurately: a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour chronograph counter at 9 o’clock. I believe the watch would gain more popularity with a full green main dial paired with three silver subdials. Like other Daytona replicas, the 116520LV has luminous material applied to the hour markers and the hour and minute hands.
The bracelet is crafted from 316L stainless steel and consists of three sections of links, with polished middle links contrasting against the brushed links on either side. You can easily remove or install the links using a small screwdriver, just as you would with a genuine watch. Additionally, this replica wacth is powered by an Asia clone 4130 movement, based on a Chinese chronograph movement.
